What is a Value Bet
A value bet is a bet with positive expected value. You estimate the probability at 55%, but the bookmaker's odds of 2.10 imply only 47.6%. The 7.4% gap is your edge.
📐 EV Formula
P = your probability estimate (decimal), K = bookmaker odds. EV > 0 = value bet.

How to Find Value Bets
1. Own expertise. You know football better than the bookmaker's line setter. Manual method — slow but deep.
2. Pinnacle comparison. Pinnacle is a sharp bookmaker with minimal margin and accurate odds. If another bookmaker offers significantly higher odds — there may be value. This is called the Pinnacle Market Model.
3. Value bet scanners. Services like RebelBetting or OddsPortal find discrepancies between bookmakers. Automated — faster, but requires subscription.
Bookmakers restrict or ban sharp (professional value) bettors. If you consistently find value, expect lower limits or account closures at soft bookmakers. Pinnacle and Betfair don't do this — they're bettor-friendly.
